Hare Krishna Chanting Party Distracts Mexican Goth Riot

In Mexico the Punks and the Goths, known as 'Emos', don't get along very well. Between the two subcultures there is a constant rivalry over who is the 'coolest'. The tension escalated to the point of mass street brawls and rioting as shown in this Mexican TV news report.

The military was marched into the city to take control of the situation. Simultaneously the Hare Krishna's appeared on the scene with their bright smiling faces to bring some transcendental cheer. (Wait until about 1 minute 55 seconds into the clip and you'll see for yourself.)
